These are very good for road running. As an amateur that does not have a support crew with me, being able to carry gels, water (two 250ml soft flask), keys and my phone for long runs is a big plus. The inside liner feels good and does not rub. I also ran a road marathon in them and this pair of shorts was perfect for the race.
